Alzheimer

expertise

Alzheimer’s disease (commonly known as “elderly dementia”) is often manifested as cognitive impairment in the elderly, including the following aspects:

– Decreased cognitive function (memory decline, judgment ability decline)

– Behavioral disorders ( decline in responsiveness, distraction, language expression)

– Declining ability to live (eat, dress, personal hygiene, etc. cannot be done independently)

As Alzheimer’s experts, we work step-by-step with the elderly person and their family to understand and diagnose the disease. Based on the international innovative geriatric knowledge and leading expertise in the industry, we structure a comprehensive therapy, which helps improve the elderly person’s physical and mental status.

Non-medical therapy:

Psychomotor Plan

Psychomotor rehabilitation is a non-medical method in the French style senior care. It was first proposed by Giselle Soubiran in the middle of the 20th century. It combines the nerve, the psychology and the movement. Beside the combination of body and movement, the mental state of the elderly is one of the norm to pay attention.

Guided by psychomotor therapist, through well-designed movements, according to the existing abilities and personal preferences of the elders, they will complete the exercise tasks and psychological activities which can enhance their willpower, self-confidence and inner spiritual motivation. The goal of the rehabilitation program is to regain the muscle control of the limbs, to motivate the brain, maintain the existing functions and finally recover part of the lost abilities.

Collective rehabilitation activities helps to mobilize the enthusiasm of the elderly, prevent and treat the anxiety and depression, and help them to integrate into the new social circle and to adapt to the new environment.

Montessori

for Senior Care

The Montessori for senior care is originated from the Montessori education method, initiated by the Italian medical scientist and educator Maria Montessori. Later Cameron Camp, an American psychologist created an cognitive therapy method based on the Montessori, which is centered on a “respectful personality care plan” and “participation in activities to regain self-confidence” for the elderly.

With the specially-designed auxiliary equipment, the therapist will guide the elderly with cognitive impairment to participate activities with their sight, touch, smell, hearing, taste, etc., which will help them to obtain sufficient thinking exercise, in order to delay mental decline.

In the activities, the movement of the limbs and the coordination of the body can effectively help the elderly to maintain their existing ability, do what they can in their daily lives, avoid emotional depression, and improve their quality of life, their physical and mental health, let them enjoy the life.
